Colorware can give you options

If you've recently purchased a new iPod Touch 4G and want to spice it up a little Colorware may be exactly what you're looking for.

Colorware is offering some unique changes you can apply to your new iPod touch. If you've gotten bored with the color then you have the ability to change it. You can now change the color of the back or the button on your Touch, as well as the earbuds. You can choose or mix and match a variety of colors.

This is a great idea. I've always been a fan of these kinds of things because it allows you to be unique and different. People love to have the only one of something and the options given to you by Colorware allow you to stand out a little.

Verizon to have brushed aluminum iPhone 4?

Verizon, as claimed by WSJ, is planning it's iPhone 4 launch in early 2011. But could they be introducing a new twist on the already stylish iPhone 4?

Gizmodo has leaked some photos of an iPhone 4 with a cool looking brushed aluminum cover. It could possibly be that this will be exclusive to Verizon when they finally do their launch. But it could also just be a custom job, nobody's really sure.

What is for certain however is how awesome this iPhone looks. If it becomes available I may just give up on the white one and go with this new look. Only time will tell but I'm sure that the reaction to this will be positive. So who knows, maybe Apple will see the potential.

Turn your iPod nano 6G into a wristwatch

This is an absolutely brilliant idea. The company Incipio has come up with a product called the linq that turns your iPod nano 6G into a digital wristwatch. How rad is that?

The company makes a wristband with a rugged case that fits your nano and turns it into a wristwatch. It's got an opening so you can still plug in your headphones, so it's basically a fully functional nano case.

The idea is great and gives you another reason to opt for the nano over the regular iPod touch. It's hard to think why anyone would go back to a regular watch now.

Free iPhone 4 bumper offer ends

If you didn't get your free iPhone 4 bumper then you missed out. The offer ended at the end of September, which was set up to help the antenna issue.

There haven't been nearly as many complaints about the antenna issue recently however. That problem seemed to kind of just disappear. I have my feelings that it had more to do with AT&Ts network being overloaded more than anything else. Considering that there were virtually no complaints coming from Canada, who has two major carriers in Rogers and Fido, it kind of makes sense.

Regardless, there was a lot of talk that Apple would be shipping out new iPhone 4s with fixed antennas at the beginning of October when the bumper offer expired. That could very well happen and nobody would even be aware. It's very possibel Apple is gradually slipping these "improved" iPhones into shipments without anyone being aware. Still no word on when the white iPhone 4 will be available.

Be weary of jailbreaking your iPod touch 4G

Interested in jailbreaking your iPod touch 4G? Well if you do you may want to be careful about it.

There was all kinds of news surrounding the jailbreaking of the iPhone 4 earlier this year when it came out. It seemed there were a few security risks involved, which is no surrise when you can just go to a site and jailbreak your iPhone just by visiting it.

Well it seems there's another site set up for jailbreaking your Apple products, including the iPod touch 4G. The site is called iPhoneUnlocking.com and there are people coming out of the woodworks saying it's just another scam.

It's tempting to break your Apple product because it opens the door for all kinds of third party apps and stuff like that. But you can put your privacy at risk, as well as lose the warranty on your product as well.

So be cautious when thinking about doing any kind of jailbreak. I don't recommend it. But if you choose to, it's best to not go to a site that offers you the opportunity by just visiting. Instead, do it the old fashioned way. Go to YouTube and find a video on how to do it.

Apple sells 60,000 iPhones in China on launch date

On Saturday the iPhone 4 was launched in China and was received quite well. Over 1000 people lined up outside the new Apple store in Beijing to get their hands on the new iPhone. It's said there were over 60,000 iPhone 4 units sold on Saturday.

The official Chinese carrier of the iPhone 4, China Unicom, said it also took over 200,000 pre-orders for the iPhone. The demand was so strong that online pre-orders had to be ceased.

This is a lot better than the last release of the previous iPhone in China. Last year the previous iPhone model was released in China and sold 100,000 units in a 6 week period. This was due in large part to the the fact that there was no WiFi capabilities per the request of the Chinese government.

This is a promising launch for Apple in China which is looking to start building a developing market in the giant nation.

Possible reason for white iPhone 4 delay

The white iPhone 4 has been delayed now for quite some time. there's been a lot of speculation as to why it's being delayed but none of the speculation has been proven. Not that it's proven now, but there is another possible reason surfacing as to why the delay is happening.

Word is coming out that the white iPhone 4 proximity sensor was not working properly. According to reports the white iPhone 4 proximity sensor was able to transmit signal but was not able to receive them properly. Here's a blurb from the article reporting it:

The story goes like this.  Initially, the White iPhone 4 didn’t allow infrared sensor to transmit and receive signal properly. So, designers decided to apply small holes on top of iPhone 4, just above the speaker. Soon it was realized that the holes can be seen clearly from the sensor and they decided to apply a metallic film which reproduced the same color of the edges of the iPhone.  In initial testing it was discovered that this film which is opaque from front and metallic from back can transmit signal properly. But it was bit late when they discovered that there was problem in receiving signals which led to proximity sensor malfunctioning and the production has to be postponed to a later date.

Apparently the problem has been resolved and the white iPhone 4 will be available for Christmas. But we've heard that one before.
