Making Purchases Through Your iPhone And iPad May Be On The Way

It wasn't too long ago that the idea of making purchases using your cell phone was being thought about. That idea could become a reality by the end of the year.

It turns out according to reports, the next iPad and iPhones coming out will come equipped with technology that allows you to make purchases. The new devices will incorporate "ear field communication" (NFC), which allows the secure transmission of information to and from a receiver up to four inches away.

This could be the used much the same as MasterCards PayPass feature, and may even allow you to transfer money from one device to another. The terminals needed to facilitate the technology may be given away to help incorporate the new technology.
